Is your disposition ever decided by a cup of coffee? Is it decided by what restaurant you are eating in? How about the music that is on why divulging in the decadence of Starbucks or Panera? The way these influences factor into our life outlook boggles my mind. Why do you go to Starbucks? The real reason….yeah you might need that shot of Joe because you are tired, but why do you cradle that paper cup that way? Why do you like the feel of the cardboard sleeve in your hand, rather then making you coffee at home in a mug? Does holding a Starbucks coffee cup and sipping it during conversation comfort you?
Yes, of course it does….
So does visualizing yourself in Panera, eating your bread bowl soup or your pick-two half sandwich with your potato soup and baguette. Orange, muted yellows, light greens, dark blues, and blacks…..why is society revolving toward these colors? Is it all a trend?
My randomness for the day….think I’ll go have a sandwich at Panera for lunch…..

Small Straws In A Soft Wind
Marsha Burns
April 21, 2006: “There is an order that must be established so that you will be in the flow of My plans and purposes for you. Quiet your soul and be sensitive to My leading so that you will not find yourself either rushing out ahead or lagging behind. Your interaction with Me must be like a dance, well- choreographed and in perfect time with the music. This flow will eliminate much anxiety, frustration and stress as you move with the anointing of ease and follow My leading, says the Lord.”
It just seems like yesterday that I resigned from my job at God’s direction, but so much has happened since then. I remember being as a scared little child as I left the office on Friday, 4/15/2005. But I knew I was doing the right thing. I was becoming the man God wanted me to be. I will not even begin to list everything that has happened, but those of you who know me, know that I have changed so much this year…and the changes have been, although sometimes very painful, very good changes.
So on the day after the anniversary that I decided to let God have total control, my wife and I finally made that first step into our destiny. A simple song, a simple melody, but God Ordained. People were touched as were we. Like the Rita Springer song…”It’s gonna be worth it”….It already is worth it. Life is so awesome when you give everything to God without striving. Let him have control.

Matthew 5:10
“You’re blessed when your commitment to God provokes persecution. The persecution drives you even deeper into God’s Kingdom.”
Sometimes it is difficult to make decisions that you know may be looked down on others even though you know God is asking things of you. Sometimes God asks us to give up or surrender for a while: ministries, commitments, even friends at times. Sometimes God wants to get your mind on him so he can talk to you. This will often provoke persecution from others, even the church. They won’t understand, but the call is undeniable to you. You have no choice but to do what the Big Guy asks of you.
Don’t label me, Don’t put me in a box, Don’t tell me what is going on behind closed doors…I am God’s son and I will serve him!

I love Spring! Creation reveals its glory. Sounds of birds, trickling creeks, rushing waterfalls…the smell of flowers and pine trees. It is incredible. I love to Trout fish the month of May. Walking down by the creek, you can really see the beauty of what God has created for our enjoyment. There is a melody that is sung but you have to be still to hear it. The peacefulness and tranquility of getting away from the drudgery of daily life and just experiencing solitude or close companionship by the banks is an incredible and refreshing feeling.
